I'd Rather Be in the French Alps

Image
Buy this Awesome I'd Rather Be in the French Alps T-Shirt! How many of you folks are missing your annual skiing trip? I must admit I watched in horror last year as so many went to the Alps and came home with the virus. Whilst we all miss skiing, it is right I think to avoid socialising this year or going on holiday with friends. It's really hard but it will be worth it in the end. Anyway, check out my retro style vintage sunset mountain designs. I've got a collection for it in my BillingtonPix Zazzle shop which covers most of the Italian, Swiss , North America and French Alps or mountain ski resorts. Just search my store for the resort you are looking for. by BillingtonPix

New products in my BillingtonPix Zazzle shop

I've uploaded some Memphis style Save the Date invitation postcards to my Zazzle shop. They are quite cute I think, and definitely of a different style. They come with an envelope and are perfect as party or engagement party save the date invitations. The entire collection can be found in the Memphis Designs collection of my shop. If you don't know what Memphis Style is I've got a little explainer against each product. But it was created by the Memphis Group in the 1980s as a reaction against the post war designs which were deemed too formulaic. The founding members of the Memphis Group were Ettore Sottsass, Nathalie Du Pasquier and Michele de Lucchi. Memphis style follows no rules and is quite anarchic I think. It mixes together lots of different styles, colors and shapes that really should not be mixed.  https://www.zazzle.co.uk/store/billingtonpix Save the Date Invitation Template Pink Abstract 80s Memphis Style Save the Date Invitation by BillingtonPix ...

What do you think of my 80s style Memphis design stickers?

Image
Here are a few stickers I have created on Zazzle. You can find my sticker collection here too.  I love Memphis design, which comes from the 1980s and was a foil against the more formulaic post war designs that preceded. It kind of aims to shock with its bright colors and bold shapes. Love it or loathe it - it is quite a controversial design movement and I didn't use to care for it much. However these days I've come to realise how much it is has grown on me. What do you think of postmodern design like this? Do you like or hate it? Starting out with Print on Demand

Hey everyone, I'm Matthew and I'm currently in the process of creating a set of market place shops that will help me with my print-on-demand business. I live in London, and am currently sheltering from the Covid virus. It's been a tough year for a lot of people, but I'd like to document my own personal development since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic last year.  I took redundancy from old workplace last April. For a month I binged on Netflix. In my mind I had decided not to continue with my career. Until then I was a solutions architect, having begun an IT career back in 1998. To be perfectly honest I was no longer enjoying it, so the chance to leave my company with a bit of cash was quite appealing. I'm kind of nearing the time when I would ideally want to stop the professional working anyway (although about 5 years early!) so thought this might be the best opportunity I get to go out on my own terms. For the first month I binged on Netflix, in my flat, ...
